About Kristen Mages

I have been in the Dominican Republic volunteering at a children's home in San Pedro de Macoris called Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos for a year in a half. My main responsibilities include working in the sponsorship and communications departments as well as coordinating international trips for the children. My favorite part of my job is being the volunteer in the Casa Santa Ana and getting to spend all of my time outside of the office with these 20 beautiful, energetic struggling teenage girls. It’s a demanding life, it’s a heartbreaking life at times, but above all, it’s a fulfilling life.
